Our Agricultural practice
Masseria Carrassa” is a historic agricultural estate covering 9 hectares along the coastal area, characterized by a Mediterranean climate and karstic soil, ideal conditions for olive cultivation.
The estate has:
350 centuries-old olive trees, of various varieties, planted in a mixed arrangement.
50 carob trees, also arranged in a mixed planting system.
Citrus groves
150 newly plantet 5 year old olive trees
We are transitioning to organic production under EU Regulation 2018/848, paying particular attention to respecting the historical, landscape, and environmental context.
Our Objectives:
Our agronomic practise has been designed to preserve and enhance the natural, historical, and cultural context of "Masseria Carrassa" promoting sustainable organic agriculture that combines tradition with innovation. The interventions aim not only to improve agricultural quality but also to protect the landscape and enhance biodiversity. The adoption of low-impact farming practices, combined with advanced technologies, will position the estate as a model of excellence in sustainability and climate resilience.
