We have always been very fond of Italy and has visited the country many times. When we came to Puglia we fell in love. We bougth the Masseria Carrassa and embarked on the journey of restoring it according to what the culture and history calls for and with the outmost respect.

Masseria Carrassa is a historic agricultural estate covering 9 hectares along the coastal area, characterized by a Mediterranean climate and karstic soil, ideal conditions for olive cultivation. Next year in march we will be certificed organic.

The estate includes: 350 centuries-old olive trees, of Cime di Mola, 150 newly planted 5 year old trees, 50 carob trees and a garden with a citrusgrove.

We have a small production of high quality EVOO - approximately 2000 ltrs pr year. And we strive to constantly optimizing the qualty and the way we grow the land also to increase biodiversity.

The house has been restored with the outmost respect for culture and history. When we bought the masseria it had been left vacant for more than 70 years. No water, no electricity no nothing but a huge potential. We have restored it with the most sustainable perspective, use of materials and to the extent possible only local materials. The craftsmanship in Italy is amazing and extremely dedicated. A true pleasure. The masseria host 14 persons and is ideal for events, weddings or teambuilding.

We both come from very different backgrounds from hospitality and olive farming. It has been a steep learning curve... but isn't that what life is all about. We love it and find it very meaningfull the make and effort, have a positive impact and create beautiful tastes and moments...
